Message from the Principal

I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Fort Recovery High School. Recognized by the Ohio Department of Education as one of the State’s finest school districts, Fort Recovery has received Excellence with Distinction for the last ten years. Driven by a teaching staff that prides itself on maximizing our student’s potential, while affording them opportunities to explore career options and pursue outside interests. Fort Recovery High School offers an amazing AP curriculum creating a rigorous academic environment, while implementing differentiated instruction to accommodate all student needs. Our 320 student population provides a family atmosphere, where each student is known and appreciated for their value in the big picture.

High expectations are the norm at Fort Recovery High School. Staff, students and community leaders built and implemented a Continuous Improvement Plan that has provided the foundation for our long-term success. Great examples of these expectations are 80% of our graduates pursue post secondary education and over 90% of our students annually pass all five parts of the OGT on their first try. The high expectations of our community also can be seen in the many opportunities our students are offered in athletics, music, art and other extra-curricular activities. High quality athletic teams are also valued at FRHS where the Indians are members of arguably the finest conference per capita (Midwest Athletic Conference) in the State of Ohio.

I encourage you to visit historic Fort Recovery, Ohio and more notably Fort Recovery High School. To set a visit please contact me at (419)375-411 or hobbsj@fortrecoveryschools.org
