Meet the Teachers

Mary Diller is starting her 20th year associated with the Fort Recovery Public Preschool. Mrs. Diller is married to Randy and has a daughter and a son-in-law; Mandy & Matt Wendel and a son; Tony. Mrs. Diller enjoys volunteering, reading, and shopping. Mrs. Diller teaches on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday morning and afternoon.

Lynn Kahlig is starting her 11th year associated with the Fort Recovery Public Preschool. Mrs. Kahlig is married to Luke and has three children; Greg, Emily & Elijah. Mrs. Kahlig enjoys running her children here and there and everywhere! She also enjoys scrap booking, crafts, reading, and walking with friends. Mrs. Kahlig teaches on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning and afternoon.

Jill Dues is starting her 3rd year with the Fort Recovery Public Preschool. Mrs. Dues is married to Brian and has a son Brady and a daughter Makayla. Mrs. Dues enjoys camping and playing sports. She teaches on Monday and Wednesday mornings and afternoons and alternating Friday afternoons.

Lisa Lennartz is starting her 6th year as preschool assistant. Mrs. Lennartz is married to Todd and has 3 children; Alan, Erica & Morgan.   Mrs. Lennartz and her family enjoy camping and Lisa is also busy operating a driver education course for young drivers. Mrs. Lennartz will assist Mrs. Kahlig and Mrs. Dues in the preschool classroom.

Barb Alig is starting her 5th year as a preschool assistant and she will assist Mrs. Diller in the preschool classroom. Barb is married to Randy and they have 4 children; Jacob, Emily, Dustin & Elizabeth. Barb enjoys being with family and camping.
  
More Preschool Happenings

The first week of school will be a great opportunity for the children to ease into the life of school routines and separations from parents. The teachers have split the class into two sections and each section will attend one half of a normal preschool day. Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions regarding the first week of school.


Please remember that busing to or from school will not start until Tuesday, September 7th. Contact your bus driver to explain any concerns or to ask questions regarding busing.


Picture Day will take place for Mrs. Diller & Mrs. Dues on Monday, September 13th. Mrs. Kahlig’s class will have their pictures taken on Tuesday, September 14th. This photo is used in our year books and picture packets can be purchased by parents.
 

Never hesitate to call your child’s teacher with questions or concerns. We want your child’s first school experience to be AMAZING!

The preschool teachers are busy preparing the classrooms for Open Building. The Open Building will give the parents and students a chance to see their classroom and meet the teachers. Mrs. Dues and Mrs. Diller will be available on Wednesday, August 18th from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Mrs. Kahlig and Mrs. Diller will be in their classrooms from 5:00 -7:00pm. on Thursday, August 19th. This is a great opportunity for parents to return registration forms, and ask questions. If these times are not convenient for your schedule, please contact your child’s teacher to make an appointment to see the classroom and meet the teacher.

Please search our school website for the preschool calendar. This will keep you informed of our Friday schedules, field trips and special occasions. Our school website continues to grow and improve so become familiar with our site because it will be an informational link to your child’s school. We try to update the Preschool Happenings and Photos monthly.
