Cindy Moorman: This is my tenth year teaching, my 8th at Fort Recovery. I am married to Tony and we live in Philothea with our three boys, Drew, Russ, & Will. Drew & Russ turned 3 this last February and Will was just born this past summer. We keep busy at our house playing outside in the sandbox or inside with toy train sets. I love to read, sew, and scrapbook whenever I find the time.

Nicole Homan: I am a 3rd grade teacher. I have been teaching at Fort Recovery for 7 years (all have been in 3rd grade). My husband, Travis and I have been married for 3 years. We have two children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. |

Kim Pohlman: Hello! This is my 8th year of teaching, and I have enjoyed getting to know many kids over the years! Mrs.Bates and I will be sharing our third grade classroom this year. I will come in during the afternoon to teach language arts and Indian Pride. Aside from loving my job as a teacher, I love spending time with my family at home. I am married to Greg, a third grade teacher at Coldwater. We have two children; a 2 yr old girl, Faith, and a 1 yr old boy, Johnny. Our family isn't complete without our dog, Rudy! I have lots of hobbies, which include taking cooking classes, going on bike rides, going to garage sales, reading to our kids, swimming, and of course, spending time building memories. |

Sandy Raffel: I am a 3rd grade teacher. This is my 22nd year of teaching and my 20th year at Fort Recovery. I am married to Walt “Oop” Raffel and we have been married for 19 years. We have two children, Jenna and Alex. In my free time, I enjoy golfing, walking, reading, riding RZRs and being with friends and family. |

Amy Klingshirn: Amy has been married for 18 years and has 3 kids (Max, Pete, and Park) with her husband Jake. Amy and her family live in Fort Recovery. She is an intervention specialist for grades 3, 4, and 5. |

Third grade is starting out Language Arts with the theme “Off to Adventure!” These anthology stories all have characters that do something exciting. In science we are learning about living things and how to put them into groups (classify). In social studies we are studying communities and their similarities and differences.
